Responsibilities of medical assistant :

* he can see and maintain the administrative departments,

* assist in while doing physical examination of patients,

* he or she can perform the clinical tasks like administrating medications, checking vital signs, doing any procedures like phlebotomy ect.

* he can educate the patients,

* he can check vital signs of clients,

* he can arrange the laboratory services and hospital admission.

Responsibilities of scribe :

* the scribe can write or documented the what ever the information told by physicians, that is patient history, physical examination, laboratory history, family and social history ect.

* radiographic impressions after supervision of physicians he can maintain record

* any other information related to the clients he can documented after physician advise.

One person cannot be maintain both responsibilities, because the scribe can maintain documentation after physicians dictation.

The joint commission define the medical scribe is : an unlicensed individual enter the information into the electronic health record system under the direction of physicians or license independent practitioners.

Scribes allowed to do the documentation and providing care under the supervision of physicians.
