Hospice care is a special type of care for patients of terminally ill,where palliative treatment is only available.It mainly includes advanced pain management in patients with chronic cancers and other patients,promotion of spiritual and emotional well being etc.Hospice care is gaining popularity nowadays.More and more researches are going on in this field to improve terminal care of the patients.

Hospice care services are rendered both by" for profit hospice care centers and not for profit hospice centers".For profit hospices render services ultimately for their profit not for social service.These types of hospices do not focus much on patient's interests.For patients with sound financial capacity,only can approach for profit hospices.But the range of services they provide are narrower and have not much impact on those terminally ill patients.From for profit hospice centers,patients do not get wide variety of services such as counselling services,medications and personal care.And patients here,feel more discontented in their terminal hours.

But, in not for profit hospices provide a wide variety of services such as therapeutic communication with patients,promotion of advanced pain management through parallel treatment methodologies like acupressure,yoga and meditations etc.These sort of things enable the patients to cope up with their terminal illness easily and feeling of comfort until death.Every patients irrespective of the financial status can approach not for profit hospices and get excellent terminal care for the patients.Patients receiving not for profit hospice care seems to survives more and more happier than others.
