There are multiple views and opinions that stereotype the process of ageing. It is both negative and positive. The negative stereotype makes people think ageing means slowing of body functions, decreased efficiency and increased risk of diseases and complications with less recovery.

Positive stereotype makes people think ageing is a natural process with accumulation of wisdom knowledge, experience and maturity in thoughts and beliefs.

While people with negative perspective tend to have negative effects on their health like getting slower, weaker and develop various health issues. They tend to get over cautious and reduce their physical and mental activities. The negative view on the ageing manifests clinically in this people.

While in people with positive perspective the results are positive . They often show improved memory as they tend to get cautious and try to remember stuff by repetition and so on. They also tend to fall ill less and have better -healthier life when compared to people with negative image of ageing.
