The nutritional intervention for type 2 Diabetes are

  • Complex carbohydrates foods or low glycemic index foods
  • Encourage the patient to eat on time and not skip meals
  • Can follow a three hour food regimen type
  • Foods like vegetables, fruits,legumes,Brown tice ,oat meal ,cereals, pulses, grains ,green leafy vegetables ,chia seeds,cinnamon,lentils
  • Avoid processed, refined foods ,simple carbohydrates like sugar,chocolate, pasta,white bread,animal fats, beverages,soft drinls
  • Paleo diet or Mediterranean diet are generally recommended
