A type of healthcare plan that allows patients to choose their own healthcare provider and reimburses the patient or provider at a certain percentage (usually after a deductible is paid) for services provided.

A type of healthcare plan that provides members with comprehensive services and encourages them to use providers belonging to the plan

It is a federal program which provides health insurance benefits for people who meet 1 of 3 categories:
- 65 or older
- those with end stage renal disease (ESRD)
- those under 65 with certain disabilities
I don't think medicare is the possibile solution for US because as per it's criteria it provides health benefits to only three of the above categories ,what will the other major chunk of population will do which makes the most of the major part of population for health care services which they cannot afford . They wouldn't be able to afford it and would affect the health status which will directly impact the growth and development of the country .
