Key differences between Traditional health insurance and managed care are as follows ,

  1. Traditional health insurance allow the beneficiaries to select the health care providers where as managed care will not do so .
  2. A beneficiary who has Traditional health insurance has to pay for the medical services and then claim the bill ,while managed care combines a delivery and financing options .
  3. Managed health care has direct control and access on the health provider where as traditional health insurance don’t have that direct network .
  4. A traditional health care insurance has sources from non governmental resources while managed care is funded by the government
  5. Information moves very rapidly in the managed health care where as in traditional health insurance is time consuming .
