Patient education:
Oral contraceptives:
-Advice the patient this method make the menstrual cycle more regular, reduces the risk of ovarian cancer, iron-deficiency anemia.
-Advice the patient to take medicine daily at the sametime, then only it will give be effective.
-If you skip or forget to restart the pills after the week may reduce the efficacy. missed pills can cause pregancy.
-Advice if you miss the pill for more than two pills it is better to use condoms for seven days.
Lorcaserin:
It is a weight loss medicine
- Tell the doctor if you are taking any herbal products for weight loss.
-Tell the doctor if you are an allergy to any medicine and any blood cell problems or undergo any surgery.
-Advice patients not to drive or working in the machine.
-Advice patient to take a forgotten dose immediately, but tell them never double the dose.
-Advice the patient about side effects and overdose symptoms, if anything contact physician immediately.
Paroxetine:
It is used to treat depression and anxiety disorder
- Inform the doctor if you have a medical history of kidney/liver problem, seizure, bleeding disorder
-Advice patient don't drive and take alcohol
-Monitor weight for children and older adults to prevent weight loss.
-Advice the patient not to breastfeed and pregnant
Temazepam:
To treat insomnia
- Before taking this medicine to inform the doctor about your allergic condition.
-If you have kidney/liver and lung problems, mood disorder, using drug substance, family history of insomnia inform physicians before taking this medicine.
- Advice the patient to avoid alcohol and alcohol beverages.
-before any surgery inform a doctor about this medicine.
-Advice the patient to take precautions if they have a risk of falling.
-Advice the patient to avoid pregnancy and breastfeeding and the use of reliable birth control pills.
Topiramate:
This is to prevent seizure
-Advice the patient to inform their allergic condition before to the doctor
-Tell the doctor if you have any eye problems, kidney, liver, lung problem, suicidal thoughts. lung disease, diarrhea, diet pattern, bone problem.
-Avoid overheat and drink a lot of liquids
-Avoid alcohol and don't drive
-Don't breastfeed and pregnant.
