1. The reason for her recurrent sore throat and ear infection is her weak immunity because of which she catches up the infection fast .

2. Every medication has its own action and is given or prescribed according to the complaints of the patient . Here in this case Gabrielle has ear infection and for that this ear drops are being given to relieve her infection and pain

3. The sleepiness is the side effect of the medication ,but it does not mean that you should stop taking the medication . Take the medication at night if it causes drowsiness and if it's more than what you can handle see a physician and ask for an another medicine .
