1. research for comparison also called as comparative research is used to identify similarities and differences between two or more than two nations, cultures, societies or institutions. This type of research is particularly used in social sciences to compare different countries or cultures. In science, comparative analysis is used to compare one or two data sets to determine consistency with one another.

4.2. Hypothesis is a formal question that a researcher intends to resolve. It can be defined as a predictive statement, capable of being testing by scientific methods, that relates independent variable with the dependent variables. SO, in hypothesis testing researcher test the hypothesis by some suitable method to approve or disapprove the assumptions or statements. For examples, "students who receive counselling will show greater increase in creativity than students not receiving counselling". This is the hypothesis capable of being objectively verified and tested.

4.2. Trend identification also called as trend analysis is a research aimed at collecting information to identify trend or spot a pattern. It is used in technical analysis to predict future change in stock price movements based on recently observed trend.

4.3. Research for own knowledge extension is undertaken by researcher to enhance his skills or gain in depth knowledge for the sake of knowledge. The main aim of this type of research is personal development, gaining more knowledge and expertise in a particular field.

Using clinical knowledge and introducing new interventions practices through research, health care professional can improve patient care to a great extent.
