Strategies can be used to study for final exam
Examination is the final test involving written or oral questions with no or limited access to text books or the like. A Strategy is a plan of action intended to accomplish a specific goal. It is not recommended to wait until the schedule for final examination come. Start early the preparation for exam, then a student need not to struggle or burdened with exam stress.
An average student also, if he or she starts the exam preparation before three months prior to final exam, then a very good score can be achieved by the student without much struggling in the previous days of exam. Make a study guide after reading each chapter or topic. It will be of great use for the final exam. Study guide need not to be comprehensive, you can be out line the topic in it under each unit or chapter. Key points, main types or classification and main definitions should be there in a study guide. Make separate study guide for each subject or one guide with different divisions for each subject. Flow charts can be drawn in the study guide so that with a one glance a student can understand the steps or events involved in a process or cycle. Study guides should be brief not an elaborate one. So that the previous day or just hours before the exam a student can just go through it and revise the topics. A student will not get time to go through the whole content in the text book or syllabus on the prior hours of exam, instead he can go through the study guide.
It is necessary that the study guide should be prepared by yourself with your own hands (even though the teachers are giving a readymade one also). When you are noting down the main points in the study guide after studying a particular topic, it will be thorough for your brain. It will help in retaining the memory.
Creating a study schedule will help a student in a great extend and one must ensure that he or she follows it. For difficult subjects, give more time.Average 8 hours in study holidays a student can exclusively study for exam. Ensure that the nutritional food and adequate water intake by the student will keep him active. Ensure adequate rest and some out time with friends in same class. Some time group studies also will be helpful for a student to study difficult portion. They can obtain help from their teachers and professors also. Teaching other weak students some particular topic will help you to retain the memory.
Ensure all the notes and text books are there with you before study holidays. If anything is not available, gather it from teachers or other students.
Areas to study more: Diagrams probably will be skip by students without drawing and practice. Just glancing and understanding it will not help the student, one has to draw and practice it, notice the labelling of the digrams. Draw and practice for two times by seeing it and third time without seeing it, then compare the drawn one with the text book diagram. ( Previous exam you might have forgotten some diagrams or flow charts. Practice the tips. you can score more marks.)
No gain without a pain. Hard work will ensure fruitful success for a student. Ensure that you follow your study schedule without fail. Reduce online activities and video games and mobile chat. It will strain your eyes more and may cause head ache. Take care your health especially during exam time.
