Mometasone nasal spray contains Mometasone fuorate monohydrate it is formulated as suspension to be sprayed in the nose to relieve from allergic rhinitis. It is commonly sprayed in nostrils OD (once a day).

Dispersible cellulose is used as suspending agent

Glycerol is used as humectant

citric acid monohydrate and sodium citrate are used to control the pH of the formulation

Polysorbate 80 as surfactant

Benzylkonium chloride as preservative

Water as vehicle/solvent

Formulation i.e. nasal spray is maintained the pH of 4.3 to 4.9 because its nearer to the nasal fluid/mucosal pH hence it will avoid the chances of nasal irritation.
