Answer: Usually with this kind software fracture, pain occurs as due to the infection which is caused mainly by bacteria or the fungus. This infection that occurs in bone causes the blood to carry this germs to the body parts and hence increases the pain. This is called osteomyelitis.

The day after surgery if the toes of patient is cold and numb that means there is lack of perfusion as well as blood circulation due to the damaged vessels.
