You have been assigned a client with a diagnosis of schizophrenia. At the time of their in-home assessment, the client was well controlled on medication and had excellent outside support from social work and family who live in the area. Desiring to be prepared for any change that could potentially occur from non-compliance with their medication regime, what are the three signs that you would take note of that your client may be in mental health crisis?

The three important signs which can be noted in a client who is in mental health crisis due to non compliance of the medication regimen are

• Lack of insight :After taking the medication the symptoms settles down . This overtime can make them feel why they should tase the medication when they are feeling well and stop using it.This makes them not to be aware of self that they have some mental illness and should consume medication
• Cold turkey:May experience side effects like headache, crying spells, feeling depressed often , suicidal behaviour, anxious,forgetfulness, etc.,
• Impairment in cognition :they forget daily routines and get relapse if the symptoms in a severe way.
