New or established services are mainly used IN Evaluation and management service.

1) Individual who doesn't receive any professional services, Evaluation and management services or other face to face services by the same physician or other group of physician belonging to same speciality or sub speciality within the previous 3 years is consider as New patient.

Individual who has received any professional services, Evaluation and management services or other face to face services by the same physician or other group of physician belonging to same speciality or sub speciality within the previous 3 years is consider as Established patient .

2) New patient codes requires all three components history collection ,physical examination , medical decision making and typical face to face minutes.Established patient codes need to meet any two out of three key components.

3) Patient visit is considered as established.
