Why is the study of sociology important?

Do you see any connections between changing social norms and the larger, global issues that face us today?

#. Sociology is the study of the social behavior, social problems, structure, development, and functioning of human society. It is important because it looks at the structure of society and how it's components fit together.

#. Yes , according to me there are connections between changing social norms and the larger ,global issues that we are facing today . Actually it's not the changing norms we can say it as people are not following the social norms which is leading to various issues for example adolescents are using drugs which is against social norms and causing severe complications .

No, I don't believe the current dynamics of our social reality has made for a better world for our children than that defined by our own parents and grandparents because the the time has changed , advancement has came up which has changed the way of following the social norms. Instead we can say people are doing things there own way , not following the social , cultural beliefs and norms which is making the world more prone to negative impact . Even it's impacting our environment too , reduction in water supply , climaty changes , deforestation , depletion of ozone layer .
