1.

Your prescription of Veramyst = 110mcg/day intranasally

Available dose of Veramyst =27.5mcg/ spray

No.of sprays you should receive per day

= Prescribed dose÷ available dose

= 110mcg/27.5mcg

=4 sprays

You should use 4 sprays per day to receive the dose of 110mcg/day

I.

How many bottles of Veramyst should be dispensed for 3 months means

A bottle of Veramyst contains 120 metered sprays

Patient dose = 4 sprays/ day

So that a bottle of Veramyst can be used for 30 days ( 120sprays÷ 4 sprays per day)

So that 1 bottle can be for 1 month.

For 3 months medicines, Has to dispense 3 bottles of Veramyst.

II.

Veramyst net weight =10g

A bottle of Veramyst provides 120 spray at the rate of 27.5 mcg per spray.

Totally a bottle of Veramyst contains 3300mcg (120 sprays ×27.5 mcg) of Fluticasone.

Which is = 0.0033g (1g=1000000mcg).

Percentage = weight of solution/ weight of mass×100

= 0.0033g×100÷ 10g

=0.033%
