GENE THERAPY
Gene therapy is defined as the treatment therapy or process done experimentally that is used to treat or replace the genes. There are several diseases of health related disorders that are genetic in nature and such diseases and disorders do not have any treatment or cure. Gene therapy is the new breakthrough for such diseases.
The therapy is based on replacing unhealthy genes with healthy ones where they are inserted into patient's cells. The process and technique is still experimental in nature and developing. There are some known advantages of this technique that includes long lasting and life time cure and effects, it provides complete eradication for certain incurable diseases and provides life expectancy. Some limitations of the therapy includes formation of infectious reagents, immune opposition and tumor formation.
Overall it can be said that the concept of gene therapy is the new breakthrough in medicine but it is still in developmental stages that requires a lot of research and evidences to be used in clinical scenarios.

please answer to this post and ask one question relating to this post A scientific technique that has been used over the past several years is the concept of gene therapy. Scientist have developed gene therapies used to prevent or treat diseases in humans. The two main types of gene therapy are germline therapy and somatic therapy (National Human Genome Research Institute, 2017). Germline therapy affects many individuals because this type of therapy has the ability to change DNA in...
i know this genetic disease involves a mutation with trip2 gene
which plays a key role in the function and structure of the Golgi
apparatus, and i think this gene uses ERSS as well as possibly
using KDEL but I'm not sure on how to tie this all together and I'm
not sure if I'm on the right track. Please help
