1. Choice of Color

Black and white slides look boring. Colors add value to the presentation and create association with audience mind. Avoid irrelevant colors and themes.

2. Long sentences

Visual aid should focus on the concept not with complete sentences. Complete sentences make audience to read them that impacts the presenter's speech. Bullet points and key words enable the audience to listen presenter's speech.

3. Too many visual aids / too much content

Too much slides will confuse and distract listeners. Don't use many slides also don't dump too much content in a single slide.

4. Data representation

The common mistakes in data representation includes small font size, many font style and inappropriate color combination or themes. Aslo, absence of tabular and graphical presentation definitely impact the communication. Typos, incorrect spelling are another annoying items; hence, they should be avoided.

5. Data delivery

Talking to the visuals rather than audience is an another common problem when using visual aids. Never face the slides often and read thoroughly before presentation.
