obesity is not just being physically overweight, now it has a lot more to do with other states of an individual. obese people are more prone to risks and infections of the cardiovascular system. childhood obesity is now becoming a major and a serious health hazard to deal with. it has started affecting children mentally also. now the obese children are becoming obese adults and are on the path of diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.

lifestyle issues, frequent eating habits, eating a lot of junks, lack of physical exercise are the major cause of obesity in childhood. genetic and hormonal problems are also one of the reasons. if not treated on time, this can lead to serious issues like bone fractures, sleep disorders, low self-esteem, behavior problems, etc.

as we all have heard that prevention is better than cure. some good and beneficial preventive measures should be taken on time to avoid these complications. limit the child consumption for sweetners and eating out habits. encourage healthy eating habits that are rich in fibers. regular exercise and check-ups are a must.

this growing issue can be sowed if we focus on the cause. generally a child develops obesity if any one of the parent is obese. so, to prevent your child from the harmful and adverse complications of obesity, you must start with yourself.
