1, Melanonychia is a black or brown pigment of the nail unit, it commonly occurs in dark-skinned people.
2, It is caused by the deposition of melanin by pigment cells. racial variation, nail bitting, friction, inflammatory skin disease, pathogens like gram-negative bacteria, exogenous and deposition of nail plate causes this disorder, it is not preventable in the malignant cases and preventable in benign cases.
3, Individuals with skin type dark skin V and VI above 50 years affected with this condition. This condition is managed by treating the underlying causes and using antibiotics to reduce pigmentation.

Nail folds and mucosal membranes for the signs of pigmentation of mucosal membranes, nail edge with exogenous pigmentation growth out in the nail plate, light and dark brown lines with the parallel line, thickness and spacing extend from nails fold to free edges.
