The skin is one of the largest organ of a human body.There are many diseases prevalent because of internal and external cause. Psoriasis is one such disorder or skin disease affecting the skin.(scaly skin)

1.This disease is considered to be a genetic or hereditary. It can be found generation after generation.The immune system tends to attack their own cells and leaving to form scaly skin.

2.Cause

• Hereditary
• Climatic changes (extreme temperature)
• Stress
• Smoking ,alcohol
• Certain medications
• HIV
• Skin infections

Prevention

• Lifestyle modification like no smoking ,alcohol, stress free life

3.This condition can be effectively managed if diagnosed earlier

• Application of topical medications
• Phototherapy
• Administration of monoclonal antibodies
• Lifestyle modification
• Following a low calorie diet ,including fish oil in diet, gluten free dieting if there is risk of celiac disease ,no alcohol.

• Ad,minister medications and topical ointments as per order to prevent further detoriation
• Modify the diet to a low calorie diet
• Encourage to avoid alcohol and smoking of any as this can trigger this condition

• To reduce the pain ,itching and flaky skins

• To follow preventive measure from recurrence of the condition and complications
