a) Letter A : Ion induced dipole forces (by Fe in heme group) The Fe can bind to O group which helps heme unit to join other polypeptides

Letter B: Disulphide bond. These are bonds between two sulphur atoms.

Letter C: Hydrophobic interaction and Van der waals interaction

Letter D: Ionic Bond. These bonds are formed by the ionic state of atoms or molecules.

b) These are non-covalent bonds. There is no sharing of electron.

c) They are transient bonds. They may dissociate upon stress like heat.

d) The side chains are responsible for the interactions, as seen from the diagram.

e) The links are between different polypeptides
