Answer #1

1. glutamate receptor are cation ligand gated Ion channels, i.e. it will open for cations only.

Alpha aminobutyric acid ( GABA) and Glycerine receptors are anionic channel. i.e it only opens for an anion.

2. When potassium concentrated increases in extracellular matrix, the concentration of potassium inside the cell decreases resulting in the increase of positive resting potential of membrane.

When potassium concentration decrease in extracellular matrix and increases inside the cell it results in in increasing the the negative resting potential of membrane.

Similar condition is applied for sodium also.

3. Is channels are locked open, the membrane potential will continue to change due to ion flow until it reaches to threshold potential . i.e. -55 mV.
