Answer #1

The ribosomal subunits are arranged in the NUCLEOLUS

THE CORRECT ANSWER IS C) NUCLEOLUS

In eukaryotes, ribosomes are assembled in the nucleusri. Ribosomal protein centre the nucleolus and combine with the four rRNA stands to create the two ribosomal subunits. One is known as the large subunit and one is known as the small subunit.

Ribosomes help in protein synthesis, they are scattered in the cytoplasm or are found on the rough endoplasmic reticulum.

The unit of ribosome is denoted by Svedberg (s) values, which are based upon the rate of sedimentation in a centrifuge. Eukaryotes have 80s ribosomes which are comprised of 40 and 60s subunits.

Protein synthesis requires two types of RNA along with rRNA.

Messenger RNA (mRNA) provide the instructions for cellular DNA and transfer RNA(tRNA) bring about protein building blocks amino acids to the ribosomes where the protein synthesis will take place.
