I have a Manufacturing Process course and i am required to do a presentation about this product (chest expander spring). since i don't know alot about it, i want to know abot its parts and what is the best material for it and why.

Also, what possible manufacturing process can be done for each component of the product.

Material and manufacturing processes for parts

1) Spring and hook :- It is made up of high grade vanadium and then chrome plated. It gives strength to the outer surface and also prevent dust.

- Vanadium has high tensile strength, and also give temperature stability.

-As no. of springs increases force require to pull it is also increases.

-Spring is manufactured by using the processes like coining, winding or bending the spring wire.

- Hook is manufactured by the forging process or rod bending process.

2)Handle :- ​​​​​​Made up of unbreakable ABS. It is manufactured by the moulding process. Distance between two handles is 25 inch.

- ABS gives strength, hardness, toughness and electrical insulation.

• Chest expander spring is use for chest exercising.
• This device is perfect for finishing off an upper lats, traps, and rear delt workout by setting up spring tension so that the user may do 3 sets of 30-50 reps to burn the muscles involved to dramatically bring out the striations.
• Because of the freedom of movement aspect, the user can really get creative with the angle and thus, emphasis on the various targeted muscles.
• Pulls may be performed with elbows elevated or lowered. Or, pulling with one arm at a time with the opposite elbow tucked into the side.
• Front delts may be worked by using the device in a vertical configuration while pulling straight up on the top handle. The possibilities are endless.
• Working against the progressive resistance of springs closely mimics the natural progressive force/angle strength curve of the muscles involved.
• Tension is adjusted by hooking 1 to 5 springs between the handle grips. A single spring is light enough tension for women, children, or elderly. Using all 5 springs requires much strength to perform the exercise movement fully - and, for multiple sets.
