The mammalian cell culture is an intricate and complex laboratory technique. Cell culture is essential to study the effect of drugs on human body, effect of various other stresses , cell division dynamics and other related studied on growing cells, including Timor cells. The cell culture depends on several environmental factors, most important ones include, A. Culture media and serum, B. pH and O2, C. Temperature.

In the present experiment, the effect of pH on the cell culture dynamics is studied. The pH in the body is maintained by the Carbonic acid in the blood. The mammalian culture also experience pH changes due to different metabolic activities. So the effect of alkaline and acidic pH on the mammalian cell was analysed. The cells were cultured in incubators with different CO2 concentrations to adjust the pH. The cells were cultured for 48 h and the cell viability and number was determined. It gives the measure of how pH affects the mammalian cell viability.
