Answer #1

A business of my choice will be a business in the field of education. Specifically it will be a chain of pre-schools that will be targeting to meet the educational and learning needs of children in the age group 2 years to 6 years.

The business will start as a couple of schools and then will be scaled up using the franchise model. The pre-schools that my business will open will be different from other pre-schools as it will teach each child as per their requirements, traits, abilities etc. all of which are unique for a child and differs from one child to another. For instance one child is able to learn best by seeing while another child may be able to learn best by doing while still another child may be able to learn best by listening. Thus the learning modules for each child will be customized and this is what will differentiate my pre-schools from others in the market.

I can grow the market share of my pre-school business by leveraging the household influence of women. Women have a strong influence on the decisions being made in a household and I can take advantage of this by highlighting and emphasizing the fact that my pre-school customizes learning modules as per the personality traits and abilities of each child. This ensures that a child is able to best utilize the learning opportunities present in the pre-school and accelerate the development of his/her brain. It should be noted that while mothers and housewives are affectionate and loving they are also highly practical. Besides love and attention they will want the best academic support for their little children. The core desire for women is to give the best to their child and my pre-school’s differentiating factor will be highly attractive for them. This focus area will also become my competitive advantage in future and I can grow my business and even gain market share by leveraging the household influence of women and providing those aspects in my pre-school that these women value as well as desire most when it comes to their children.
