Strategic planning is the strategy of an organization which uses its planning and management according to the priorities, upcoming potential crisis, long-term, and short-term goals, limitation of the firm and strength of the firm. This is a most important thing with the decision makers to plan strategically.

Whereas scenario-based planning is the part of strategic planning which rules with the questions of If/ but. This is a situational planning which may arise due to the n number of reasons. A firm question itself under certain conditions like what if this is not available, what if during a crisis, what if during strikes etc. So a firm allocate its resources or plan according to various scenarios or possible scenarios can be called as scenario-based planning
