Do you see any undesirable effects of humans communicating more and more via computer networks rather than in person or over the telephone? What are the pros and cons? Briefly explain your rationale. (Please keep your answer to a paragraph or two.)

Solution:

Personally the problem associated with the internet is , it created the void in the humans and creating the insensitivity in the people as they are not able to catch their eye moments or facial expressions. So, in tough times it all leads to frustation , hypertension and other routine disease.Specially in metro cities this sort problems are increasing day by day. But overall some of the points are listed below:

Pros of communication via computer networks​:

1. Speed and time

These methods have saved a lot of time as the speed is too high as compare to the other modes. And the way of communication over phone is only voice but through the internet we can share things in different formats.

2. Job creation

In this area due to unlimited scope, it has created a no of options over the world.

3. Globalization

The internet has indeed brought people closer, and also helped in economic growth. It has also brought down geographical and language boundaries.

4. Cost effective

It’s one of the cheapest mode compare to other available modes.

5. Improve education sector

Ample of opportunities to create to transfer world class education to backward areas through smart class rooms etc.

6. More business opportunities

7. Eliminates the cultural gap

The internet has helped to bridge the gap. People from different nations can easily communicate with each other, allowing the exchange of ideas and views.

Cons of communication via computer networks​:

1. Unemployment

Internet revolution cuts down the no of jobs in particular conventional sectors as paper works convert to the word and excel files. It leads unemployment in different sector specially in developed countries where population is too high.

2. Privacy

Although the internet has made communication easier, quicker and convenient, privacy problems have emerged. As every application needs much information and selling to the other sectors which has disturb the privacy. One can track every single step you take out of your home on daily basis.

3. Lack of job security

Since technology keeps on changing, job security has become a problem. This means that IT experts need to be continuously learning to keep up with the changes if they want to retain their jobs.

4. Overruling cultures

Conclusion

Definitely internet has revolutionized our lives but still there are the challenges which need to be addressed.
