Below is why most organizations evaluate their employees on criteria such as effort, loyalty, and dependability -
1. While effort is more of a behavioral aspect which can be improved over time irrespective of the kind of person, loyalty is more of a trait which the employers consider when evaluating an employee's commitment to the firm and the job. Dependability is the consistency in completing tasks , taking ownership etc. which is a mix of trait and behaviors.
2. Most of the time, it is the behavior that firms consider while evaluating an individual as they are more objective and deterministic whereas traits are more subjective and are considered for evaluation when individuals score near equal in behavioral aspects.
