The national culture in Latin America has generated the national cultural style of negotiation where people are emotionally passionate and decisions are taken impulsively and spontaneously. It is because of this national culture that affects negotiation process also that Latin America is considered to be impulsive, spontaneous in decision making during negotiation. This factor is important for the negotiators doing negotiations with the Latin American companies or in Latin America. The negotiators should understand this negotiation style and incorporate it in the negotiation strategy they are going to use. They should expect this type of negotiations while dealing with parties from Latin America and develop strategies to face it. This understanding can also enable them to get a better deal for themselves and also for creating a win-win situation. This knowledge will help in better planning before the negotiation for handling the claims of the other party.
