Research is different from practical problem solving as,

  • For solving practical problem we have all information regarding that problem to get appropriate result. For example, we have mathematical formulas, theorems etc. are available to solve practical problems we just have to figure out something about that information.

Research is totally different from solving practical problem because in research we have to collect information regarding any topic. Here, we are looking for that information that no body knows, at least as far as we have been able to discover.

  • In short we can say that, for solving practical problem all information is given whereas in research we have to discover the information or sometimes invent.
