Question

Post lab for estimating entropy for the dissolution of a salt. I desperately need help with 3 and 4 please

Is the dissolution process studied today, NaNo, (s) → Na+ (aq) + NO3-(aq) spontaneous or nonspontaneous? How can you tell? What is the sign of ΔΟ? 1. Using the classs mean value for ΔH and the Gibbs-Helmholtz equation, estimate the value for as for the dissolution process. (See Calculations section.) 2. Based on your observation about the spontaneity o the reaction and the sign of AH, is the value of AS that you calculated a minimum or a maximum? Explain. 3. at the chemical equation above, would you predict that the sign of AS for the dissolution process is positive or negative? Explain.
