There are five phases in the planning process of any IT projects:-

1. Scope

We.can say that the determination of scope is the first and the most necessary step in the project planning stage. This is where the entirety of the project is determined as well as the other factor is selected and determined based on the needs.

2. Budget planning

After the scope has been determined, we need to set up a budget in order to make the implementation profitable. It requires the understanding of the capabilities of the system as well as its capacity and the need to grow.

3. Scheduling and WBS

Which makes use of forecasting in order to determine the level of inventory as well as the schedules and make use of all the resources of the company.

4. A communication plan, the structure of management and functions

Teams are selected, the proper communication and delegation of tasks indetermined as well as the primary data collection process are utilized.

5. Disaster recovery and risk management
