The three most important uncertainties facing companies today are as follows:1. Government regulation and policies- It can be said that the regulatory environment is one of the most aspects that has been keeping the companies skeptical of what might happen or changes will be introduced in the future. It is important to mention that the industries are facing uncertainties in terms of the changing financial policies, environmental policies, and energy policies that hinder the decision-making abilities for companies today. It can be said that threats from the stakeholders and customers have increased regarding green products and this has increased operations costs and increased corporate taxes. 2. Supply chain is going to face issues of uncertainty because of the demand and the need to stay entirely lean and this has made companies reduce the size of their inventories. There are issues of fluctuating supply owing to the constantly changing prices of the commodity that have been induced by the disruptions in weather conditions. The supply chain has started to receive more challenges in terms of supply of raw materials. 3. Information overload is another big issue faced by the companies owing to the larger number of data generated every day and this often results in greater complexities in decision making.
