There are number advantages and disadvantages of writing a very specific employee policy with little "wiggle room."

The first and foremost examples of writing specific employee policy is Effective and clear communication. The Employees clearly know about terms and conditions as well as policies of the company . Due to clarity in communication employees have a clear notion of what the can do and what they cannot. It leads to eliminate any confusion in their roles.

It also makes the administration much easier to administer.

It fecilitates the decision making on the part of Managers. At the same time it avoid chaos.

The various disadvantages are

Lack of flexibility.

Not possible with large number of Employees.
