The given image shows the process of electron transport chain in mitochondria. It takes place in inner mitochondrial membrane. It is a series of electron Carriers a range from low to high redox potential. Electron is transferred from one electron carrier to the other. Ultimately the electrons are accepted by oxygen to form water which is a byproduct of respiration.

But the question, you need not memorize the electron transport chain. You just need to understand the following four definitions.

Oxidation is the process of loss of electrons.

Reduction is the process of gain of electrons.

Oxidizing agent is the one which itself gets reduced and oxidizes the other molecule. It gains electrons from the other molecule.

Reducing agent is the one which itself gets oxidized and reduces the other molecule. It loses electrons and give them to other molecule.
