In basic words, LCOS is the conglomeration of two technologies - LCD and DLP. In principle, it is a kind of reflective technology that uses liquid crystals instead of mirrors. As these liquid crystals become active or passive, the light is modified in accordance and an image is created. The process happens at extremely fast rates. It uses three separate chips each for RGB array where RGB stands for Red, Green , Blue. Due to presence of liquid crystals, the resolution produced is high.
In projector, FSC stands for field sequential color. It can be acquired at a nominal cost. One of the biggest advantage of FSC is that we can decide on the size of display we want for high resolution projections. Normally, pico projectors aren't that great in reolution and brightness but with the use of FSC, same can be achieved. As FSC is sequential in nature, it produces 7 colors present in visible spectrum ( VIBGYOR ) which means we don't need a much powerfull micro processor for the projections. Due to the seven colors presence on a single display, the contrast ratio is extremely high.
