Q.5 Answer - relay molecules inside of the target cell

Because- Different cells have different protein collection inside cell. Different cells may have same receptor for particular signalling molecule but response is different. This occurs because of relay proteins inside of cell.

e.g Epinephrine receptors can bind on Liver cell, heart cell. But function is different both cells. In case of liver cell epinephrine signalling stimulates glycogen breakdown. In case of heart cell epinephrine signalling leads to contraction. In both cases epinephrine is signalling molecule(ligand) and binds to epinephrine receptor(targe cell receptor) on both cells. But response is different. This difference is due to presence of different relay molecules inside liver cell and heart cell. So the specificity of cell signalling is because of relay molecules inside of cell.
