What do you think is your strongest "skill" among the skill sets that are useful for success in accounting/business?
I believe that my skill for deductive reasoning and
mathematical/empirical evidence, as well as data, backed decision
making provides an edge in the area of accounting and business out
of all the skills necessary for the field. The use of data-based
decision making allows for better considerations since the
decisions that I take are not just experience-based, it provides
for further examining the data, and therefore the situational
aspect is brought into account as well. Deductive reasoning and
mathematical skills allow the ability to understand the data and
the modeling simulations more accessible. It is not only
advantageous in data science but accounting and managerial level
decision-making function as well. The understanding of probability
and statistics also aid everyday decision making and combined with
the soft skills necessary for the position, it clarifies any doubts
and makes it easier to find discrepancies in the data which could
have led to issues down the pipeline.
