Than the single stranded binding proteins coat the separated strands of DNA near the replication fork, they prevent rewinding of DNA.

Primase makes a RNA primer complementary to the DNA strand. It gives a 3’ end to the DNA polymerase, here the DNA polymerase can attach.

DNA polymerase- It adds nucleotides one by one to make a new DNA, it is complementary to the template strand.
