ANS- ENCODING OF MEMORY ALLOWS INFORMATION TO BE CONVERTED INTO A CONSTRUCT WHICH IS STORED IN THE BRAIN INDEFINITELY. AFTER ENCODING, IT IS TERMED AS SHORT TERM MEMORY OR LONG TERM MEMORY. ENCODING OF INFORMATION IS LIKE SAVING A FILE IN A COMPUTER. IT WILL NOT GO UNTILL THE HARDDRIVE IS DAMAGED.

THE PROCESS BEGINS WITH PERCEPTION WHICH MEANS THE IDENTIFICATION, ORGANIZATION AND INTERPRETATION OF SENSORY INFORMATION TO KNOW WITHIN A PARTICULAR ENVIRONMENT. SENSES PERCIEVED STIMULI, THALAMUS IN HUMAN BRAIN RECIEVES RELATED SIGNALS AND GET SYNTHESIZED IN SINGLE EXPERIENCE. AFTER THAT HIPPOCAMPUS STARTS ANALYZING THIS EXPERIENCE AND DECIDES THE WORTH FOR LONG TERM MEMORY.

LEARNING A NEW LANGUAGE INCREASES THE SIZE OF THE BRAIN. BRAIN GROWS IN HIPPOCAMPUS AND THE CEREBRAL CORTEX AREA WHICH IS IN RELATION OF LANGUAGE LEARNING SHOWS BETTER LANGUAGE SKILLS.
