Tim Cook was born in the small  town of Alabama, Robertsdale on November 1 1960. Cook did his high school and graduated second in a class in 1978 . Later on, he was enrolled in a Auburn University in Alabama, with the bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering in 1982 and went on to earn the Master of Business Administration degree from Duke University,Fuqua School of Business in 1988. He was graduated in the top 10 percent of the class at the business school and was honoured the title of Fuqua Scholar.

Coming Out of the Graduate School ,Tim Cook moved on a career in the field of Computer technology. He was hired by IBM where he was ranked to become a Corporation's North American fulfillment director, managing manufacturing and distribution functions of IBMs Personal Computer company in both North and Latin America. After the successful career of 12 years at IBM ,he became the chief operating officer of the Reseller Division at the Intelligent Electronics in 1994. After 3 years , he joined Compaq Computer Corporation as the vice president of Corporate material and was given the responsibility of procuring and managing product inventory . Their his time was short lived. After six months at Compaq, Cook left for position at Apple.

According to Cook , before joining Apple he was disencouraged from doing so as the company's future looked very bleak. At that time company was losing sales for years and was considered to be on the verge of extinction. But things quickly changed after the Cook was appointed as a Vice president and came on board. Within less than a year the cooperation was reporting profits. Tim Cook Rose to Executive President and then chief operating officer he was also given the responsibility for managing worldwide sales and operations along with the leading making tools division and continuous development of reseller and supplier relationships. In 2011 ,Tim Cook was named as Apple's new CEO . In addition to serve as CEO, he also sits on the corporation's board of directors.

Cook continues to achieve excellence at Apple but with a distinctly different management style. He has made an immediate point to stress transparency and teamwork within the organisation. He tends to have a very calm conduct and is much more approachable. He inspires his employees with an open door policy and encouraging a collaborative environment. Tim Cook focus on Apple's core business and his decision to pump the brakes on new products is his typical style . He seeks to focus on products that are already doing well .for example the Apple watch is an expansion of the iPhone rather than an entirely new product.

Leadership lessons to be learned from Tim Cook

* Taking risks: He understands that in order to succeed , one must take risks. He believes that risk will sometime result in failure but without it, there is no possibility of success. Without the confidence of taking calculated risk, it is almost impossible to get the full support of those around you.

* Focusing and listening attentively people to those you speak to. It is a lesson from Tim Cook that should be implemented by anyone with a goal of becoming a great leader.

* He is known to be the leader will trust the opinions and voices of the team he surrounds himself with. He had many top executives that can share the workload of the business. He understands that these individuals with innovative and brilliant ideas will allow how to lead. Handling some of the workload to others on your team will go on a long way in helping becoming a successful leader.

On the contrary, there are effort of many years and the leadership of Steve Jobs, its founder and who is not always democratic. Only when job relies on a team and established a participatory management style, Apple begins to rise. Epitomised today Tim Cook , the current CEO of the company, the Apple team begin to grow and thanks to his confidence that jobs deposited in its members. They always hired experienced and skilled people in the area and that is how, through the delegation of authority, the current success of Apple was built .
