I was searching for economy cars that can be affordable as well as come with good features like good mileage, modern design and look, good engine power, brand image, safety, after sales service etc.

The companies that are competiting in this economy car segment from marketing point of view are Ford, Honda, Chevrolet,toyota. These are the top brands which manufactures and sell wide variety of economy cars.

According to a carlogo site,"Toyota is the top choice of mass market followed by Honda, Chevrolet, and Ford in the US."

I find that Toyota Prius is the best choice because its prices are attractive, fuel efficient like 53 highway mpg. comes with modern design and looks. The safery rating given to this is 9.3 while other brands come with 7 to 8 ratings.

I believe that everyone would agree that these four brands are the top brands that can a person can find if they want to buy a economy car.
