Answer #1

Answer-

I am focusing on last topic-

Things responsible for photosynthesis are-

  • Presence of chloroplast
  • Presence of sunlight
  • Presence of carbon dioxide
  • Presence of efficient surface area for contact between chloroplast and sunlight.

Therefore the requirement that would need to be considered for efficient functioning of chloroplast in human cells is-

The presence of efficient and/or sufficient surface area for contact between chloroplasts and sunlight.

The plants will have patiently larger surface area for contact between chloroplasts and sunlight because they have large number of leaves which provides them great surface area. But animals did not have leaves and therefore if there skin is used for absorption of sunlight then it will have less absorption.

Moreover metabolic demands of animal cells or body is larger as compared to plants.

Photosynthesis and Chloroplasts You will read that only plants, algae, and some bacteria are photosynthetic. There is an exception to this, however. One species of sea slug has found a way to steal chloroplasts, store them in glands lining its digestive tract, and live on the sugar that is produced (Milius, 2010). The sea slug has even commandeered the genes to help repair these chloroplasts to keep them working for 9 months—longer than the algae would (Fang, 2015)! What if...
