1. Digital marketing has played a very crucial role in this COVID 19 pandemic. COVID 19 pandemic is a completely new virus and there was no awareness about its symptoms, cause of transmission, treatments, etc. As it is a transmissible disease, the overall world went into a lockdown to stop its transmission. In such a scenario, digital marketing arrived as the tool which was used by various governmental agencies as well as NGOs to spread awareness about the disease. There were various advertisements, experience videos, messages which were spread across people through digital and social media about COVID 19 pandemic. If digital media was not present, it would have become quite difficult for governments to make people aware about the situation and the preventive measures which need to be taken. Hence digital marketing can be considered as a savior in COVID 19 pandemic situation.

2. For majority of companies, Customer is considered as king. All the business processes and decisions of the company are taken with the view of providing best services to the customer and retaining him with the company. The marketers of the company also need to observe the customer and understand his market disposition and buying pattern. Accordingly the marketing and branding strategy of the company can be developed. The marketers need to conduct a thorough research of the buying behavior of the customers. This research is converted into personas. The positioning and branding of the company’s products is done in a way, so as to woo the specific marketing persona. This will help in enhancing the overall relevancy of the product and increasing its competitive hold in the industry.
