Answer #1

In F0 , H+ enters subunit c .

F0F1 complex of ATP synthase has two multimeric components F0 and F1 . F1 is the water soluble complex . F0 is the membrane embedded portion of ATP synthase . Its main function is movement of protons. It contains 3subunits of proteins a,b and c. Two proton half channels lie in between c-ing and a subunit. Half channel I allow protons to move from endoplasmic space and to bind with aspartate-61 of the c-subunit . HalfChannel II allow protons to dissociate from aspartate-61 and move into cytosolic space. This movement of proton leads to rotation of c-ring.
