Designing a Dumpster
For this project we locate a trash dumpster in order to study its shape and construction. We then attempt to determine the dimensions of a container of similar design that minimize construction cost.
First locate a trash dumpster in your area. Carefully study and describe all details of its construction, and determine its volume. Include a sketch of the container.
Consider the following trash dumpster with the dimensions as shown:
The figure is of a 10 yard dumpster. The dumpster can move freely as it is mounted over four wheels at the four bottom corners. The Dumpster is similar to a cuboid and has the following dimensions:
Assume the inner walls and the base of the dumpster to be flat and without irregularities for ease of measurements. Also neglect the thickness of the material and assume that there is negligible difference between the external and internal dimensions of the dumpster. Since, the dumpster is of the shape of a cuboid; all formulae applicable to cuboids are valid.
It is know that, the volume of a cuboid is,
Using the above formula, the volume or the garbage carrying capacity of the dumpster can be calculated.
Hence,

Each student will conduct an in-depth case study analysis of an Information Technology Project summarized in a professional-grade project report. You will need to contact someone in an organization who has worked on or is currently working on an IT project. This could be the project manager, a member of the project team, or the project client or sponsor. This may be a project with which you were involved; however, you must include at least one other person in order...
Choose an event or significant task and prepare an activities list following a format similar to that used in the text, Table 9.3, Chapter 9, page 391. Be sure to include the immediate predecessors. Then, create a project network similar to that shown in Figure 9.7, Chapter 9, page 392. Do NOT include times for the activities and do NOT attempt to determine the critical path. Examples of events you might consider (there are many others): formal dinner for 5...

Select two of the discussion questions and analyze the case study using project management principles. Apply your knowledge of project management to the facts presented in the case study to describe how you would proceed. We only need to answer one of the questions. A thorough answer will probably require 300 to 500 words for each question. Feel free to use text bullets, tables, or graphics to summarize your points. Questions Q1: Make or Buy decision – Describe the make...
Please help writing a well structured document using the below Agile Runbook - Our Overall Delivery Process How do we initiate a Project? Any project is a response to a pain point or desire expressed by either customers, internal stakeholders, employees, or regulatory authorities. In short, a project is a time bound and specific goal oriented task-system that is born out of an ask from any stakeholder. Project initiation is laying down a new project by defining its goals, objectives,...
ReviewI Constants Periodic Table The air that surrounds us is mostly empty space, and it can be almost a factor of one thousand less dense than water. Within that mostly empty space, gas molecules are moving around at high speed and colliding with each other, and if you are in an enclosed space, they are also colliding with the walls. We can more easily observe the behavior of a gas by confining it to a container with a known volume,...
