1. a) Yes because of the COVID-19 pandemic, organizations are facing economic uncertainty in every sector. Coronavirus has negatively impacted businesses all over the world.from closing down operations to a drop in consumer confidence, COVID-19 continue to affect businesses and its operations.  
    
b)  Telecommuting is the practice of working at a specific location, whether the employee's home or alternative office.companies are benefiting more during these circumstances from telecommuting. Employees can connect through networked company computers from home and use work enhanced tools from their laptops,smart-phones, etc to make real-time connections. It reduces the hours' employees take traveling to and from the job during this corona period. This also reduces office space costs as people are working from home due to social distancing.  
                                          
c) Telecommuting is a marginal solution that benefits only white-collar workers. Especially those who work in the transport industry and tourism sectors are not benefited from these circumstances from telecommuting.

2. Contingent workers can work on-site or remotely and they are highly skilled experts in their field. They are not salaried people and they don't get any benefits and are responsible for their own taxes. They have more control over their own work than employees of the company do.

Categories of Contingent workers:
                                                                                               
a)Temporary employees: They generally work for temporary employment agencies that place workers in organizations for short term contracts.

b) Part-time employees: They work fewer than 35hours a week. they often receive fewer or no benefits from their employeer.they are scheduled to meet the particular peek needs of the organization.

c) Contract workers: They are employees who negotiate a relationship directly with an employer for a particular work or for a specific time period and they are generally self-employed and determines their productive hours.                                                                                                                              

d) College interns: They are students who work for a company either with no salary or reduced salary to gain work experience. They may be full time or part-time workers, but they are likely to work only for a short time period.
