Answer #1

1.The activity of enzyme is a measure of the quantity of active enzyme present in any reaction, and it can be determined by the moles of substrate converted per unit time and reaction volume and by using the activation energy Ea, so the best way to determine the activity of enzyme is to calculate or find out the activation energy without enzyme and then calculate the activation energy using the enzyme,...    2. Proton motive force;;-proton motive force is the that force which promotes the movement of protons across the membrane, and yes it is similar to the H+ influx because there is the generation of ATP during the pmf so H+ influx play a very important role and it may be similar to the influx ., . 3. From the given options only option d is correct that is ATP is made in the lumen of chloroplast , that is all the electron transport process occur in the thylakoid membrane to make ATP ,H+ is pumped into thylakoid membrane space and backflow of the H+ through an ATP synthase produces the ATP in the chloroplast,.. 4.The plasma membrane is the cellular membrane which consists of both lipids and proteins, and the fundamental structure is the phospholipid bilayer which form the stable barrier ,so being barrier and presence of protein the bilayer has charged headgroups., so option a is correct. 5.Cilia are a minute hairlike organelles which helps in the movement and cilia are mainly desinged either to move the cell itself or over the any substance, the main purpose of cilia in mammalian cells is to move fluid, mucous or cells over their surface and its due to the centrilocular protein . 6.The anaerobic fermentation is a method by which cells use to extract energy from carbohydrates when oxygen is not present,   there are the formation of yeast in the muscle cells,. 7.The electron and proton are called as the secret of life  because both are helpfull in the creation of energy and option d is correct.

mestion Completion Status: Why did I suggest that the secret to life is electrons and protons? A. Because redox reactions are necessary for all of the reactions in live cells and these redox reactions require both H+ and electrons B. Because electrons carry a negative charge and protons have a positive charge C. Because most (not all) cells need electron transport and H+ gradients to make ATP D. Because electrons are necessary for the electrical responses of the cell (like...

Microbiology In the competitive inhibition of enzyme activity, which statement is correct? Inhibitor directly competes with the substrate. Less substrates must be added in order to reach Vmax. The number of active sites is unlimited. None of the above.      In the noncompetitive inhibition of enzyme activity, which statement is correct?Inhibitors will cause a conformational change in the enzyme, more substrate must be added to reach Vmax, Enzymes bound to the inhibitor can still bind substrate, none of the above. ....

please answer all that you can 1. You have genetically engineered green fluorescent protein (GFP) containing a KDEL sequence (GFP-KDEL). When GFP-KDEL is expressed in normal human fibroblasts and examined using fluorescence microscopy, the fluorescence appears diffuse across the cytoplasm. How would you explain this observations given that KDEL is supposed to be an ER-specific sorting sequence? A. This engineered GFP would not have a hydrophobic signal sequence to get it into the RER in the first place. B. The...
